Catholic Priest Murdered In Imo State

The police in Imo State have confirmed the murder of Reverend Father Cyriacus Onunkwo, a Catholic Priest, who was earlier kidnapped by yet to be identified gunmen.

The state police also confirmed that the priest was found dead in a bush where the abductors were believed to have killed him and dumped his corpse.

Father Onunkwo was allegedly snatched from his car in Orlu town, Orlu Local Government Area Imo State, Friday morning by gunmen.

Chris Ezike, Commissioner of Police in the state, disclosed that following a manhunt, a body was discovered in the bush of Omuma village in Orlu East Local Government Area on Saturday
